2009 SUMMER PROGRAM--Now In Session
JUNE 15 THROUGH JULY 10 at ISLAND SCHOOL IN PUHI
- Exciting experiences in visual and performing arts for young people ages 5 (must have completed kindergarten) to 13 yrs!
- Morning session from 8am to 12noon, afternoon session from 12:40 to 4:40pm, or all day.
- Diverse classes in beadwork, recycled wood & stone sculptures, Australian style art, theater, singing, green art, lost arts of Polynesia, piano/keyboard, mask making, hip-hop/break dance and the art of poster!
- Dedicated
teachers!
- ART Zone is created for 5 & 6 year old young artists who have completed kindergarten. The students stay in one classroom throughout the session, allowing the freedom to learn in a safe & supportive environment. Instructor guides students through a creative process involving a variety of visual art materials & gives them an opportunity to experience the art of performance through story telling, dramatic play and creative movement.

Kauai Society of Artists hosts the
Kauai Academy of Creative Arts
Art by our students will be displayed at the Kauai Society of Artists’ Art Space at Kukui Grove Shopping Center from July 17th to July 24th. For the first time, KACA student work done under the tutelage of our summer artist/teachers (Arin Duggins, Derek Glaskin, Nalani Mahelona, and Joseph Rozon) will be featured at the KSA Art Space. Please join us for an Opening Reception on Friday, July 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Come to view the amazing imagination, creativity and artistry of our students!!!
